Russian compatriots celebrated National Unity day in Calcutta

On November 2, the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Calcutta hosted a comprehensive event for Russian compatriots dedicated to the celebration of National Unity Day. The event was attended by the Consul General of Russia in Calcutta A. M. Idamkin. V. V. Dementev, Deputy Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representation in India and Director of the RCSC in Calcutta, warmly welcomed the Russian compatriots. He also gave an author's lecture to his compatriots on the contribution of Russian compatriots abroad to world culture. The lecture was listened to with great interest and ended with applause. A large photo exhibition about compatriots abroad was also launched for compatriots. The necessary explanations were given for the exhibition. The evening ended with a festive dinner.
